This is one for the wine lovers and takes place at one of Northern Tasmania’s most celebrated wineries. Over the course of two hours, you will be guided through the sun-drenched vineyards of Josef Chromy Wines on the outskirts of Launceston while hearing about its humble beginnings at the hands of an entrepreneurial Czech migrant. 

Learn about the varietals that are grown here and the unique terroir, as well as the state-of-the-art equipment that is used to transform the grapes into premium pinot noir and chardonnay. The experience ends with a guided wine tasting in the property’s late-19th-century homestead. Josef Chromy is also home to a high-end restaurant that serves modern Australian cuisine accompanied by lake views. 

Josef Chromy Ride the Vines tours depart on Saturdays and Sundays at 1 pm and charge per person.
